Worried

Two days had already passed since Bruce had seen Katalyn, and it was safe to say that he was seriously worried. She should have at least contacted him, let him know she was okay, even if she wanted to be alone. So now he was at her home, not finding any sign of her presence for at least 48 hours. He crouched in the dark little home, pawing through her things, looking for anything, any clues that would give away even the slightest hint to where she could be.

Hurrying

She sighed as she wandered down the alleyways. This was such a stupid idea, but she didn't like how Leslie kept trying to get her into normal clothes. She liked her costume. So did Bruce, and Superman. And now they'd all left. You close your eyes for two minutes and all the men leave.

Leslie is still back in her office, freaking out. Oh well.

And here was the infamous informant. Short, tired, a little doped up on pain relievers, and trying to track down the Batman before either one of them got into more trouble. Hurrah.

"SPOOOOOOON!!!"

A giant yell from a nearly giant man as he flew from some hole in the sky and landed promptly on top of a rooftop, creating a nice little crater and knocking out the power within.

"What is this place, oh darkest of mysterious cities? Why have I been ousted from my home?" He stood at the edge of the rooftop, ignoring the cussing and yelling from the inhabitants 16 stories below. "I suppose that inter dimensional travel doohickey must've malfunctioned, or maybe it had a malice aforethought and threw me here to get rid of me in the City! Or maybe I am needed here, in a city with no heroes--"

Just then, Hunter swung by, not noticing, and disappearing into the inner city.

"Okay, so few heroes that probably need help. Yes, my help, the help of the Tick! This City cries out for help, and I am the 911 dispatcher that answers, and here comes the fire brigade! The police are on their way, hold on and don't panic, what's your address young man? Whatever this City is, it has chosen me of all it could have, and I am here to save the day!" He grinned widely and lept from the rooftop, landing on a shorter apartment building, causing bits of roof and cement to crumble to the ground below.

The young Doctor wanders around aimlessly, his mind as lost as his body.
He wasn't afraid any more, and he was almost acting normal, well something that passed for normal. Although every time there was aflutter in the corner of his eye he jumped and murmered "BAT" he sighed carrying on walking "Need shelter" he mumbled.

Joker chuckled as he hunched over his latest creation, an invention that he knew would give the Batman serious grief, something that would terrorize Gotham on its own while Joker was free to rob anywhere he liked.

Suddenly the door to the warehouse he'd currently made his bas burst open, but instead of somebody being there Joker wheeled to find sevarl largee, bright green vines storming his new hideout, hailing a storm of other vines.

"Well this isn't a gas,"he said crossly, reaching for his Joker putty and charging the vines, spraying them. The greenary shrank and melted as it came into contact with the Putty, and Joker went out to the street, stunned when he saw the Vines had nearly taken over the entire city block, covering and breaking into every building through doors, windows, and occasionally through the very walls.

Joker blinked, then scowled.

"IVY!" he bellowed, spraying some of the vines that got closer. The vines shrank, then sprang forward, grabbing him and tieing him up. "IVY!"

A moment later a tall redhead wearing all green came in, and the ines around her seemed to stop as if by whispered command.

"Joker," she said, eyes getting bright. "I see the rumors are true. You're back."

Joker merely scowled, and Ivy laughed, coming forward and patting his cheek.

"Poor Joker, all tied up by my latest project," she said.

"And you interupted mine. Now be a dear and let me go," he glared. "Joke's over."

"Of course," Ivy grinned, and the vines fell away. Joker dusted himself off, then looked around.

"Impressive. Sure hope dear Batty doesn't come and clip your roots," he said, watching.

"He'd find these a bit too tough for all that," Ivy smiled.

"But what is the point?" he scowled, looking aruond.

"This is the point," she said, pointing at some lumps which seemed to be flowing down the stalks of the vines. Suddenly a large, pink flower bloomed near her,a lump flowing up the stalk and coming out as the flowerbloomed, to reveal a rather large diamond ring.

"My babies are sensitive to the minerals in diamonds and precious gems. They swallow and bring everything they find to ther base: to me," Ivy purred, putting the ring on.

"Facinating," he stared, then chuckled. "Oh, this gives me an idea."

Joker walks down the road, whitling and flipping a coin, giggling over the jokes trunning through his head.

As he walks by an old lady he snatches her purse, then laughs madly as he leaps away.

"Replaced hips make for a short chase!" he shouted over his shuolder as he bolted, then laughed madly and fled, getting a few blocks down the streets, finally turning into an alley and emptying the urse on the ground, starting to sort through it.

"Ah, to be back to basics," he chuckled. "Ooh, what a foxy shade of lipstick for an older woman...."

And still, as always, bad to the bone. The funny bone, at the least.

He was strutting confidently through the streets, looking around and chuckling as he went.

"Yes yes, Batboy's stench long gone. Somebody else's mark still fresh..." he commented aloud, noticing a few goons keeping a very low profile.

Deciding he was bored he walked over to a large jewelery store and pulled out a small box-like and brightly painted object.

"Time to test the Box 'o Giggles," he chuckled, pressing a button. All of the glass, both windows and display cases inside the store shattered completely. The thugs jerked, and the Joker turned to them, throwing up his hands.

"Steal away, my good fellows. The Crown Prince of Crime is back, and sharing his spoils with loyal little minions, eh?" he said. The thugs hesitated a moment longer, then ran forward, jumping through the shattered windows and grabbing what they came to. Joker soon joined them, whacking one upside the head when he went for the major diamond display case.

"Leave the bigger goodies alone, you'll break them," he snapped. The thug started, then turned shrugged and went to the pearls as the Joker turned to his spoils, grinning as he plunged his hand into the diamonds, raising his fist and staring at the goodies in pure glee.

"My my, it's good to be home."
