A park in Gotham
All was calm, all was quiet.
Then a black-edged portal sprang into existence over the duck pond and two people flew through. The black-haired girl surfaced immediately and swam to shore, laughing heartily.
"Stronghold, yer such a fragbrain!" she hollered after reaching the shore and bounding to her feet. "Ya know what ducks do in there?"

"What did you do to @#$%& her off?"
She hated cursing, but 'make her mad' and 'anger her' were not scary words.

"It wasn't my fault! Warren made me fight with him, I didn't wanna but he made me!" He realized he was babbling and slowed down. "Uh, see her husband is an alt. of my best friend who used to be my enemy and he forced me into a fight and I...accidentally broke his ankle or leg or something. I didn't mean to, really!"
He was careful not to mention that he had super strength.

She'd been able to tell he was strong by the rigidity of his muscles as she'd held him, and she suspected he had flight capabilities too because of the unconcious body signals he'd put out while they were in the air once he'd stopped screaming.

He tried to play it off nonchalantly. "The source? I inherited 'em from my parents. So what's with this interrogation thing, huh, lady?" He didn't know why he had been emboldened all of a sudden, but maybe it was because now that she knew he was meta, she might be afraid of his powers. That's how it worked in his world, anyway, the people with powers were the superheroes, and it was rare for one without to take a powered person down.

"Hey, we're on the same side here! What's the deal with this treatment, huh?" He shut up before he got himself into trouble again. His voice softened. "I just wanna get back home, okay? And I don't know how."

She could leave him here, but that would probably result in the idiot trying to play hero in her city and getting himself killed. She could dump him on Gordon, but she didn't trust him to keep his mouth shut. She could track Mornbein down since she was sure the Traveller was around here somewhere, but the black-haired girl was irritatingly adept at avoiding her sensors.
Or, and this looked like the best bet.
She could take the bleeping kid home till she could figure out how to send his annoying rear home.
-I'd rather have a root canal without anesthetic. At least I get to see the dentist turning green when I do that.-
"Get in the car," she growled, turning away from him, knowing that he probably didn't even see it.

"The...car?" He whirled around, trying to look for it. "The Batmobile car, type car?"

It summoned a mighty roar, and powerful headlights suddenly shone right in Will's eyes as the Tumbler responded to its mistress's call.
no subject
"Niiiice. This looks just like the one in the movie. I love this Batmobile! And...and that means I get to ride in it? How COOL." He jumped around like a fanboy as he reached over to touch the machine.
