Every time they were going some where new, they always drew straws. Everytime. Yet every time Eva lost. Why? Because she choose the shorter straw because he twin couldn't be trusted. 
She sighed looking around, wondering what she should do. Seeing a poster of superman she grinned. She walked over pulling out a permanent Black marker and scribbling on it. THe usual, horns, beard, evil mustache.......

A wing blocked another shot. "Pay attention, or you'll vind up vith vorse!"

She looked at the wing "oh yeah sure...... uh where should I go?"

Dämmerung scanned the area again. "Get out of range. Und stay avay from any flying craft; there could be an aerial backup."

She nodded "OK" a moment later she was up past the atmosphere.

Dämmerung turned her attention back to the snipers, and soon most of them were neatly laying trussed in a pile where the police could reach them.

Most of them.

"So, are ve going to do this the easy vay? Or the hard vay?" The winged woman asked the gasping man whom she held by one ankle as she hovered about fifty feet up in the air.

Eva watched, still unsure she liked Dämmerung

"You won't drop me," the guy blustered. "Everyone knows that the Bat doesn't kill."

"Ah, but I'm not Batvoman," said the winged woman calmly, loosening her grip on his ankle.

"They'll kill me if I tell!" He flailed.

"No, they von't."

"Luthor!" He gritted. "Mz Luthor hired us."

Dämmerung nodded and hauled him up to gently render him unconscious before landing to tie him up and add him to the pile.

Eva scowled "Liar"

"Eh?" She looked up.

"Nothing, Just no Luthor would hurt me"

Dämmerung kept her ears still so that the girl couldn't see what she was feeling. "No?"

"Why would they? hmm?" she asked "Luthors are respected business people"

"So vas Nolan Caponi until his crime links vere exposed," countered the winged woman, mentioning a well-publicized recent incident.

She crossed her arms "Not the Luthors"

Dämmerung cocked her head, face as expressionless as always. "How good is your memory?"

"Well enough" she said.

Dämmerung listed off a series of private and locked computer files from the Luthors' database. They were all ones that Batwoman knew of and had insisted that she memorize the way to, and contained information that the late Lex and his dear sister would not want exposed to the world.

"But don't do anything foolish. Thousands of people depend on them for their lives."

"What do you want me to do then?"

"Know the truth." The winged woman's voice was soft, and compassion showed in her deep black eyes.

"The luthors are family" she snapped

Dämmerung only gave her a sad look, then stepped into the shadows and vanished.

She scowled unsure about wanting to look or not.
