Thomas Rybec was not a happy camper. Three hours ago he had found himself in a strange cit. He had no idea how to explain how he got here but he was and nothing was going to change that fact.
"Blast my eyes," he mutters in a bit of anger not liking this at all. He didn't recognize this city at all. But he did know this city was dangerous so he kept his duffel bag close to his body.
That was until he noticed he was in trouble. Looked like some of the City's riff-raff had decided that he would be an easy target. Well this was going to be so wonderful. Not only could he be confused about why he was here or more importantly how he got here but looked like he was about to get down and dirty with some of this city's underbelly.
Nice welcome wagon.

"New here?" He gave a long look through his domino mask at the other man, his northern accent lilting in his words. He held his crossbow at the ready, a grin on his face, practically daring the thugs to move closer.

"Oh yeah...Just love the welcome wagon ya got goin'," he drawls lazily as he ducks to the left when the thugs decide that the best idea all night is to bull rush Hunter and this unknown average joe.

Hunter grinned as he readied his ground, taking a stance and aiming his crossbow at said thugs, hoping he could cover the new guy fully enough. It was a flammable bolt, which meant it was a glorified firecracker, and it sizzled and popped wildly, sending a torrent of smoke and sparks everywhere, whistling merrily like it was a holiday. One of the thugs ignored the firework and tackled Hunter in the legs, sending them both flying. The vigilante bopped the would-be mugger in the head with the base of his 'bow as they landed, and knee'd him nicely in the gut.

Why? Well that's easy to answer. In the past months he's been fighting things that he hadn't dreamed where even real. He had the ring though to keep him from getting killed. But right now he's trying very hard to not get knifed by the two thugs that decided he'd make a fun target. So he swings the heavy end of his duffel bag at the nearest chest. Now hopefully he'd get through this fight without needing too much finesse.

But now he was all grown up and not in 'his' city. This wasn't Boston. But that was fine by Thomas. He'd just hit these guys until they backed off or stayed down.
"....Why don't you idiots just back the frell off," Thomas snaps before smacking another man with a fist. This was not going to be fun, he decided.

And what was the deal with these thugs keep coming back for more? Even the man he had just downed was now scrabbling at his thick boots like he had money in there or something. Hunter kicked him roughly in the head and he went back down with a thick thud. He could see on Thomas' face that he was getting rather annoyed with this as well. He aimed his crossbow at one of the men, this time a regular bolt was inserted. The thug stopped, not seeing to very well understand what was pointed at him.
"Yeah? Y'see this? It'll kill ya. Right through the forehead. Wanna try? Or do you wanna leave us alone now?"

Thomas watches them go with a frown crossing his face. He hated criminals. Mostly because he hated seeing people picked on or victimized. "...Thanks for the assist, man."
He flashes the other man a tiny smile as if to say all was cool.

He shouldered his crossbow, ready to make out into the night once again. "Gotham's not the friendliest lady in the world. Y'gotta watch yer back around here, okay man?"
no subject
Huh, looks like he was on an alternate Earth.
"Well yeah..She's nicer than some places...At least I don't have to try and badly pronounce French," he jests with a shrug.

((Seperate from other line, tell me if that's a problem))
"Tut tut," said a seductive feminine voice as a shadow moved and a tall, green clothed woman with ruby red lips and equal colored hair swirled out behind her thin, muscular frame. "That's no way to treat a stranger."
Re: ((Seperate from other line, tell me if that's a problem))
Thomas had been readying for a fight. Not sure just how he had provoked an attack. Just that it was, no, would have happened of it weren't for this lovely woman.
One of the men snarls in an almost feral tone. "Who asked you," the thug demands.

Ivy turned to the stranger, her eyes glittering. "There are better places for a fight, darling, if that's what you're after."

"Well...I really wasn't looking for the welcoming committee here...But a god ole spar wouldn't be unwelcome."

He shakes his head a bit as he eyes the woman. "I find myself...going against the law half the time." At least lately he did.
