Joker walks down the road, whitling and flipping a coin, giggling over the jokes trunning through his head.

As he walks by an old lady he snatches her purse, then laughs madly as he leaps away.

"Replaced hips make for a short chase!" he shouted over his shuolder as he bolted, then laughed madly and fled, getting a few blocks down the streets, finally turning into an alley and emptying the urse on the ground, starting to sort through it.

"Ah, to be back to basics," he chuckled. "Ooh, what a foxy shade of lipstick for an older woman...."

He dodged, then chuckled.

"How fiesty. But only the bat has ever turned a trick onto the master of treats, and only one time. Her sidekicked payed for it with his life, did you know? I don't think such a little one would want that."

"I know," she said coldly. "I was there when they found 'em. 'N I ben raisin' hell since before the Bat was ever born."

"A Little young to be older than the Bat, doncha think?" Joker smirked.

"Maybe if I was human," her answering smirk is chilling.

"Then what, my dear, are you? You must tell me now, I have no patience and I'm ever so excited," Joker grinned.

"Yer worst nightmare." She moved with sudden lightening speed, her fist once more finding his face.

Joker flew sideweays and crashed into a wall, and collapsed, gigglng feebly before he looked up at her.

"You'd make quite the bad... er... little girl."

Mornbein grabbed him by the lapels and hauled him up with a strength that belied her slender frame, then cocked her fist and let him have it again.

Only this time as he flew backwards his palm shot up and his grappling hook shot out, and as he bounced of the brick wall it caught, and he swung away.

"Hate to run, but I've left the burners on. I hope I'll see you again soon, little girl!" he cackled, swinging away even as he began nursing his face.

She watched him go, counting under her breath til the time the little paint bomb she'd stuck on his shirt should go off, then turned to find something else to do.
